Female Founders Pitch & Prep Bootcamp Empowers Entrepreneurs with Investor Insights
Throughout the day, attendees engaged in peer-to-peer networking, roundtable discussions with investors, and one-on-one mentorship sessions, creating valuable connections within the entrepreneurial ecosystem.
On February 28, the Orange County Women’s Business Center (OC WBC), in collaboration with the Orange County Inland Empire SBDC Network and the City of Fullerton Economic Development Department, hosted a transformative event designed to help female founders refine their pitches, strengthen their business models, and gain invaluable investor insights.
With 60 participants in attendance, the Female Founders Pitch & Prep Bootcamp provided a full day of interactive workshops, networking, and hands-on feedback sessions. More than 20 founders had the opportunity to present their elevator pitches in front of investors and experienced consultants from OC WBC and Launchpad SBDC, receiving real-time, actionable feedback to enhance their fundraising strategies.
A Day of Learning, Growth & Connection
The bootcamp kicked off with dynamic workshops led by industry experts, covering key topics such as:
- Crafting a Compelling Pitch: Understanding what investors look for and how to communicate a startup’s unique value proposition.
- Business Model Optimization: Refining revenue strategies, scalability, and go-to-market approaches.
- Investor Readiness: Preparing for funding opportunities and learning how to approach venture capitalists with confidence.

The Elevator Pitch Roundtables
The event culminated in an elevator pitch roundtable, where founders delivered their 60-second pitches to investors and SBDC consultants, receiving immediate feedback on clarity, impact, and investor appeal. This fast-paced and interactive format allowed participants to fine-tune their messaging and gain insights directly from experienced investors.
